Company Information / Media Room / Media Kit

Welcome to the 2008-2009 Aspen/Snowmass Online Media Kit!

With four great mountains, nearly 5,300 acres of terrain, two great towns, over 100 bars and restaurants and dozens of great events, there is more going on at Aspen/Snowmass than we could ever hope to cover here. We've been skiing on Aspen Mountain for more than 60 years and this year marks the 50th anniversary of Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk.

While we're rich in history, it's the future that we are most excited about. This year we have a new $7 million high-speed quad on Snowmass replacing the Sheer Bliss lift; as well as two new restaurants in Snowmass including the $9 million on-mountain BBQ restaurant, Sam's Smokehouse; and in the new base village, Sneaky's Tavern will be open for lunch, après and dinner.

Aspen Highlands is opening 18 new acres of challenging terrain in the Deep Temerity section of the mountain called Canopy Cruiser.

Buttermilk will have a new 22 ft. Olympic-sized superpipe – one of only three 22 ft. halfpipes in America.

Several other new projects, including the purchase of Western Colorado's largest solar array (a $1 million project) and the second phase opening of Snowmass' new base village, mark another invigorating and newsworthy year here in Aspen/Snowmass

So, read through the site, then give us a call and plan your visit. The only way to truly know Aspen/Snowmass is to immerse yourself in its genuine mountain culture.

Yield to kids. Give them extra room. Kids ski/ride unpredictably and often do not know right from left
