Based out of Elk Camp on Snowmass, Lost Forest is immersive yet approachable, inviting you to lean into your sense of wonder by spending time in nature. Picture the perfect summer playground with shaded, winding trails connecting a magnitude of mid-mountain activities. Walk off the gondola and into an adventure on an alpine coaster, biking trails, a ropes course, a zipline, a climbing wall, fishing ponds, hiking trails, and a disc golf course.

Activities for the Thrill Seekers

For families looking for thrilling summer adventures, the Treeline Trial Challenge Course, Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, Canopy Run Zipline, and the Climbing wall offer gravity defying adventure for all.
Some of these activities require a minimum and maximum weight and height to participate. Please view our Lost Forest Rules and Regulations to decide what is best for you and your group. If a group has individuals who do not meet these requirements, Lost Forest has plenty of other outdoor adventures everyone can participate in.

For families with young kids or groups looking for a more relaxing day, we offer Aerial Approach Disc Golf, Elevated Journey Hiking Trails, Trout Hook Fishing Pond, and Sightseeing and Gondola Rides.

Lost Forest Ball track

Open during Lost Forest hours | Included with Lost Forest Base Ticket (with purchase of ball)

Our newest feature geared towards our smallest adventurers, the 140-foot-long dual wooden track allows racers to follow their ball through features such as the xylophone, maze and cow bells to the finish line.

Purchase your souvenir ball from Lost Forest Headquarters or inside the Elk Camp Restaurant for $10.

Robin's Nest

Open during Lost Forest hours | Included with Lost Forest Base Ticket

Designed to allow our climbers and adventurers who are too small for the challenge course to play, climb and jump, the 4 story fully enclosed Robin’s Nest allows children from 2 – 10 the chance to enjoy the Lost Forest.

Located adjacent to the Treeline Trial Challenge Course, included free of additional charge, with purchase of Lost Forest Base Ticket.

Base Ticket

$78 Per Day (Ages 13 & Up) | $60 Per Day (Ages 12 & Under) Lost Forest Base Ticket includes lift access to Elk Camp gondola and chair, the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, Rugged Ascent Climbing Wall, Robin's Nest, Aerial Approach Disc Golf, Trout Hook Fishing Pond, and Elevated Journeys Hiking Trails. Times are 10:30am–4pm (activity closing times vary). Participants must be at least 36 inches tall and weigh between 22-330lb for the climbing wall and at least 38 inches for the coaster. Maximum coaster weight is 375lb in dry conditions and 330lb in wet conditions (for one or two people).

Treeline Ticket

$112 Per Day (Ages 13 & Up) | $83 Per Day (Ages 8-12) Open to families and thrill-seekers, the Treeline Trial Challenge Course, combines rappels, ziplines, bridges, and ladders for a thrilling obstacle course in the trees. Choose from five different courses of varying difficulty: Lily Pads (easiest), Snakes & Ladders, Eagle Walk, Spider Web and Islands in the Sky (most difficult). Lost Forest Treeline Ticket includes access to Elk Camp gondola and chair, Treeline Trial Challenge Course, and all activities included in Lost Forest Base. Participants must be between 48-78 inches tall, weighing between 50–250lbs, and able to grasp a cable overhead with both hands, reaching at least 66 inches. Check in at the base of the Elk Camp Gondola.

Canopy Tour Ticket

Canopy Run Zipline Tour $244 | 3-hours Soar above Snowmass with multiple ziplines, sky bridges, rappels, and platforms mounted in the trees themselves for a thrilling adventure through the canopy! Guests must weigh between 70-250lbs and be between 48-78 inches tall, as well as 16+ years old or accompanied by an adult. Maximum of 6 people per tour. Reservations are required and are nonrefundable within 48 hours of tour start time. Check in at the base of the Elk Camp gondola.

Cancellation Policy

Completely unused Snowmass Bike Park, Sightseeing, and Lost Forest Base tickets are refundable. Lost Forest Canopy, Treeline, and Bonus Night Tickets require 48-hour cancellation notice. No refunds due to weather if operations remain open. No partial refunds.

Weather Policy
Summer weather in the Rocky Mountains is unpredictable and out of our control. As a result, we do not offer refunds due to weather impacts on our operation. Please check the forecast while planning your activities.

E-Bike Usage

E-bikes are not allowed anywhere on Snowmass Mountain (service roads, downhill park, cross country trails).
