Aspen and Snowmass has one of the largest free groomed Nordic trail systems for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in North America, with over 80 kilometers of groomed trails. The Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Trail System is unique to North America because it links two towns (Aspen and Snowmass Village) via the Owl Creek Trail, which meanders through meadows, wooded areas and crosses three distinct valleys. With ski centers located in both Aspen and Snowmass, skiers and snowshoers have unlimited opportunities to enjoy the winter trails system.
