Want to receive Aspen/Snowmass Snow Reports via text message? In just a few simple steps you can sign up for a new account or use your existing Twitter account to get daily snow reports on your mobile device.

>> If you currently have a Twitter account and ARE NOT set-up to receive text messages from Twitter please CLICK HERE.

>> If you do NOT have a Twitter account please follow the steps below starting with Step 1.

NEW TWITTER MEMBERS:

1.  Go to http://www.twitter.com and click the "Join" or "Get Started Now" button.

2. Fill out the short form of Fullname, Username, Password and email address, enter the secure code as listed and click "Create my account" to begin.

3. "See if your friends are on Twitter".. Click on the "Skip this step" link at the bottom of this page to skip for now (you can always go back later if you choose).

4. Click the "Finish" button.

5. You should now be on your homepage.  On the right navigation area of the page under "Device Updates" click on "Set up SMS Updates" as shown below.

6. Enter your phone number in the Mobile Phone field as show below. For U.S. residents, please include "+1" before your mobile number. You must check the "It's okay for Twitter to send txt messages to my phone." box and then click the "Save" button. Note: Twitter does not charge for this service, but standard rates for receiving text messages do apply. Check with your wireless provider to see if text messaging is included in your plan.

7. Follow last step to verify your number if noted (you might need to send a text message to Twitter to verify your number for security reasons).

8. Click on "Home" at the top of your Twitter page as shown below.

9. LAST STEP! On your Twitter home page, type "on aspensnowmass" in your "What are you doing?" text box (EXACTLY as shown below) and press the "update" button. You will now receive text snow reports in two texts for our four mountains each morning at 7:00 a.m. MST.  To stop the the snow report texts at any time type "off aspensnowmass" in your text box and update.

CURRENT TWITTER MEMBERS WITHOUT SMS SET-UP (you are not receiving text messages from Twitter):

1. If you are a Twitter member, but have not set up Devices to enable SMS/text messaging please log in to your Twitter account.

2. From your Twitter home page go to the right navigation area under "Device Updates" and click on "Set up SMS Updates" as shown below.
