Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls

Congratulations to our top three competitive teams! 1st place - Baker Boyd and Kevin Frazier 3hr 3mins 02sec 2nd place - John Morrison and Neal Beidleman 3hr 4mins 58secs 3rd place - JF Bruegger and Nate Rolland 3hr 8mins 09secs
And a big congratulations to all Battle in the Bowls Competitors! There were 46 total teams this year; 20 in the non-competitive division and 26 in the competitive division.
This year both divisions had to complete the following runs while making sure to hit set checkpoints along the way. Competitve Course: Highlands bowl summit, Highlands bowl Boxcar, Highlands bowl Main Gate to Hyde Park & Canopy Cruiser, Kesslers, Sodbuster, No Name, Aces & Eights, Aerobie, Moment of Truth, Powder Bowl, and Thunder Bowl Non-competitive course: Highlands bowl summit, Highlands bowl Main Gate to Hyde Park & Canopy Cruiser, Sodbuster, No Name, Aces & Eights, Moment of Truth, Powder Bowl, and Thunder Bowl
The top three competitive teams to complete the course accurately in the shortest amount of time were awarded a cash prize, a signature Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls flexfit hat and "Ski the Fourteeners" book signed by Chris Davenport.
The non-competitive teams to finish the course were entered into a drawing in which two teams each won a $250 gift certificate to Helly Hansen, and the third team each won brand new 2009 Salomon skis!
Awards were also given out for the fastest Bowl lap (from the main gate to the summit, back to Deep Temerity Lift), Slowest Bowl Lap and Most Vertical Fasted Bowl Lap - John Morrison and Neal Beidleman 25mins 35secs Slowest Bowl Lap - Bill Bywater and Ron Radar 1hr 33 mins Most Vertical - Jake White and Ryan Kalamaya 3.99miles
The cost for this event is $75/Team and each team member receives a Helly Hansen Base Layer that includes the event logo.
