A long view of Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands, from an areal view, on a blue bird winter day

Long Love Aspen. Long Love Skiing.

For more than 75 years, we’ve done it our way—inspiring mind, body, and spirit to preserve the magic that keeps our community connected and our impact positive. Welcome to Aspen Snowmass.

Storm chasers, art lovers, mountaineers, foodies, athletes, and visionaries of every kind—a collection of colorful characters have congregated in the mountains of Aspen Snowmass for decades, living out their dreams and creating an unparalleled community. Classic and quirky, it’s here that we charge steep lines and craft new ideas. Whether you’re hiking and skiing the legendary Highland Bowl, engaging with global thought-leaders at the Aspen Institute, or taking in a Michelin star meal—world-class terrain, art, and culture continue to characterize this place. And so, we keep doing things our way. For the love of this place, we honor the past. For the love of our planet, we take the long view. And for the love of community, we celebrate joy. Long love Aspen. Long love skiing.

Who We Are

What started as a simple boat tow—hauling eight skiers and their wooden planks up Roch Run—has evolved into Aspen Mountain’s first chair, Lift 1A, in 1947, when the first of our four mountains was born. Our history is one of ingenuity, legacy, and skiing. In an ever-changing world, we’re committed to paying homage to our past while forging a bright future. From fostering Bauhaus design and gonzo journalism to hosting the country’s longest-running Gay Ski Week and leading the charge in environmental activism, Aspen is a place grounded in the unshakable belief in something bigger than us.

Long Love Aspen On-Mountain Art

We're sharing our love for winter, community, and our mountains with four unique installations that celebrate what makes each hill so unique. From all-day recess and Buttermilk, the prayer flags atop the Highland Bowl, the wide-open blue skies of Snowmass, and the town mountain we call Ajax—Long Love Aspen. Long Love Skiing.
