Kids and teens of all riding abilities can discover their passion for mountain biking in Snowmass this summer. Whether they're just starting out, aiming to conquer steep, rooted, and rocky descents, or looking to gain elevation by climbing the surrounding trails, the Snowmass Bike School has something for everyone.

With daily pricing and validation pass options, these camps offer a chance to learn and grow under the guidance of professional coaches and experienced Pros. The Snowmass Bike School's Cross Country and Downhill camps are designed for kids and teens, making them perfect for any young rider ready for an exciting day in the mountains.

Our Summer Bike Camps

Single Day Downhill Bike Camp

With a focus on downhill terrain, kids and teens spend the day on-mountain riding the dirt to develop their mountain bike skills with our specially trained coaches. Skill development will include: safety, trail etiquette, stance, braking, cornering, and bike maintenance. For ages 8-17. Includes coaching and bike park access for the full day. Bike and safety gear not included. Meeting location is Snowmass Base Village Plaza.

3-Day Mountain Bike Camp

In partnership with Roaring Fork Cycling, we are hosting 3-day mountain biking camps for ages 5-15. Kids will ascend and descend on mountain bike trails throughout Snowmass Village while learning skills and growing their love for the sport. All riding will be age and ability appropriate. Camp Passes are not valid for 3-Day Mountain Bike Camps. Campers must register for the entire three day session.

Mountain Bike Camp Details

  • Dates: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, June 3 - August 9, 2024 / 9am–3pm
  • Ages 5-15: Camp is designed for kids of all biking abilities to learn a range of basic to advanced biking skills, build more comfort on and off the bike, and explore their surroundings all while having fun on our trails! All skill levels are welcome, but please note that training wheels are not allowed. During the camp, a range of bike skills will be worked on, such as speed control, riding through rocky terrain, proficient braking, effective shifting technique, as well as ascending and descending technique.
  • Meeting Location: Two Creeks, Snowmass
  • Includes: Three days of instruction and full supervision. Bike and helmets are required, but are not included in the rate.
  • Helmets: required for all participants. A full face helmet is required while riding intermediate terrain and higher or for any jumping skill progression. Half shell helmets may be worn on Beginner and Green rated trails. If you are unsure which helmet to wear we recommend a full face helmet.
  • Helmets: are available to purchase or for rent at Snowmass Base Village - Four Mountain Sports.
