Kids and teens of all riding abilities can discover their passion for mountain biking in Snowmass this summer. From beginners to advanced riders, young riders thrive in Snowmass's diverse terrain. Whether they're just starting out, aiming to conquer steep, rooted, and rocky descents, or ready to commit to dedicated skill progression in our Trail Academy program, the Snowmass Bike School has something for everyone.
With daily pricing these camps offer a chance to learn and grow under the guidance of certified and experienced Coaches. The Snowmass Bike School's Cross Country, Downhill, and Trail Academy programs are designed for kids and teens, making them perfect for any young rider ready for an exciting day—or summer—in the mountains.
Our Summer Bike Camps
Trail Academy | 4-Week Bike Camp
Trail Academy Details
- Dates: Two 4-week sessions available, Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Session 1: June 17 – July 10
- Session 2: July 15 – August 7
- Times: 9am-3pm
- Ages: 8-12 (intermediate to advanced riders)
- Meeting Location: Snowmass Base Village outside of the Treehouse
- Includes: Two days a week of instruction for four weeks. Lift access when needed. Bike and helmets are required, but are not included.
- Helmets: Helmets are required for all participants. A full-face helmet is required while riding intermediate terrain and higher or for any jumping skill progression and in the Bike Park. A half-shell helmet is okay for trail riding. If you are unsure which helmet to wear, please contact us. Helmets are available to purchase or for rent at Four Mountain Sports in Snowmass Base Village.
Single Day Downhill Bike Camp
Single Day Downhill Bike Camp Details
- Dates: Monday-Friday, June 23 – August 22, excluding July 4
- Times: 9am–3pm
- Ages: 8-17 (All skill levels are welcome, but please note that training wheels are not allowed)
- Meeting Location: Snowmass Base Village outside of the Treehouse
- Includes: One day of professional coaching and instruction as well as lift access. Bike and helmets are required, but are not included.
- Helmets: Helmets are required for all participants. A full-face helmet is required while riding intermediate terrain and higher or for any jumping skill progression and in the Bike Park. Helmets are available to purchase or for rent at Four Mountain Sports in Snowmass Base Village.
3-Day Mountain Bike Camp
3 Day Mountain Bike Camp Details
- Dates: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, June 2 – August 4
- Times: 9am–3pm
- Ages 5-15: Camp is designed for kids of all biking abilities to learn a range of basic to advanced biking skills, build more comfort on and off the bike, and explore their surroundings all while having fun on our trails. All skill levels are welcome, but please note that training wheels are not allowed. During the camp, a range of bike skills will be worked on, such as speed control, riding through rocky terrain, proficient braking, effective shifting technique, as well as ascending and descending technique.
- Meeting Location: Two Creeks, Snowmass
- Includes: Three days of instruction and full supervision. Bike and helmets are required, but are not included.
- Helmets: Helmets are required for all participants. A full-face helmet is required while riding intermediate terrain and higher or for any jumping skill progression. Half shell helmets may be worn on Beginner and Green rated trails. If you are unsure which helmet to wear, we recommend a full-face helmet. Helmets are available to purchase or for rent at Four Mountain Sports in Snowmass Base Village.
