Freestyle Friday brings a high-energy, retro-themed competition to Aspen Highlands, celebrating the roots of freestyle skiing with moguls, vintage ski outfits, and a après party. Hosted on Scarlett’s Run above Merry-Go-Round, this event is open to skiers looking to compete, watch, and celebrate the golden era of hotdog skiing.
Expect a head-to-head bumps competition and special guest hosts Jambar Ambassador Jonny Mosley and Hotdog Hans, who will battle it out on the moguls in a must-see showdown. Throw on your best ‘80s and ‘90s neon and denim. All registered competitors will receive a complimentary hot dog, and discounted lift tickets are available for those who pre-register.

Competition Schedule
- 10:00am – 12:00pm | Venue open for competitor training
- 12:00pm – 2:00pm | Bumps Competition (skiers only)

Competition Format
The bumps competition is a single-elimination, head-to-head contest where skiers go round after round, with a panel of judges selecting the winner each time.
Divisions
Bumps Competition (Skiers Only)
- Women: Open/Pro,11 & Under, 12-15, 16-18, 19-39, 40+
- Men: Open/Pro, 11 & Under, 12-15, 16-18, 19-39, 40+
Prize Money
Men’s and Women’s (Open/Pro):
- 1st Place – $250
- 2nd Place – $150
- 3rd Place – $75
Registration & Lift Tickets
Registration is free and required to compete. The bumps competition is limited to 16 participants per age division, so early registration is encouraged. All competitors must complete an online waiver prior to participation.
Pre-registered competitors are eligible for discounted lift tickets on March 29:

Après at Merry-Go-Round
Following the competition, join the Merry-Go-Round party featuring music, awards, and retro après vibes. Whether competing or spectating, Freestyle Friday is a celebration of freestyle skiing’s past and present at Aspen Highlands.
