Alex Israel's "Heaven" lift ticket artwork for 24-25

February 14–23 and March 716, 2025 | 10am–2pm | Ruthie's Building, Aspen Mountain | Ski-in/Ski-out Only

In partnership with the Aspen Art Museum, Aspen Snowmass presents "Heaven," an interactive exhibition from Los Angeles-based artist Alex Israel. In addition to Israel’s artwork adorning this season’s lift tickets and passes, he will also transform the beloved and storied Ruthie’s building into a captivating art experience, inviting visitors to explore cultural memory, acts of resurrection, and the importance of place.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic 1980s Los Angeles store, Heaven, Israel has reimagined its legendary logo (originally created by Brad Benedict) for a new generation. As part of the 20 year of the Art in Unexpected Places program, this exhibition serves as both a moment of resurrection for the subjects it commemorates and for the historic Ruthie's building itself.

This event is not ticketed and will be open to anyone with ski access. Please note, you must be able to ski intermediate terrain to reach Ruthie's.
