Insta360 Reel Competition
New this year, we are adding in a reel competition sponsored by Insta360. Filmmakers are tasked with creating a reel on an Insta360 camera and submitting it for public voting which will stay open until the end of the season. Voting will close at the end of the day on Sunday, April 20th. The public will vote online for the best reel to be awarded a new Insta360 X4 camera. A panel of judges will select the top reel to receive a $1K cash prize and a chance to have their reel featured on Insta360’s channels.
Parameters of video submission:
-Shot on an Insta360 camera (if you need to borrow an Insta360 camera, see below)
- 30 to 60 seconds in length
- Include a behind the scenes/shot within a shot showing the camera
- Incorporate skiing and/or snowboarding
- All submissions are due no later than EOD April 11th, 2025
- Reels should be 1080px x 1920px with a 9:16 aspect ratio.
Camera Checkout Process
Participants who need to check out an X4 camera to complete this contest should reach out to Stephen Costas scostas@aspensnowmass.com to coordinate a time to pick up from the Aspen Airport Business Center office. Registrants can check out a camera for no more than 5 days at a time and must return the camera undamaged and with the memory card clean. If the camera is damaged or returned late, the renter will be charged the full retail price of the camera and accessories $500-$599.
NEPSA PHOTO CONTEST
Calling all local and regional photographers! The photo component of the NEPSA Awards will be a gallery style, fan judged event in the Wheeler Lobby. Prior to the film screenings, fans will view your photos gallery style and vote on the best of the best.

The Parameters:
- Photos must have been taken in 2024 or 2025 - Submit photos in high res format for printing
- The printed photos will be 16"x20" and can be either landscape or portrait.
- Each photographer can submit up to 5 photos per category for judging.
- ASC staff will narrow down the submissions to our favorite 10 images in each category and they will be printed for audience judging at the event.
- Photos will be judged in categories: Best Action Shot, Most Creative and Best Scenic.
- All submissions are due no later than March 7th, 2025 - $1,800 cash purse at stake.
- All 3 categories will pay out 1st- $300, 2nd- $200 & 3rd- $100
NEPSA SHORT FILM CONTEST
Hey content creators! We see those cameras out there on the mountain all season and know you have been filming. Now is the time to sit down and make a sick edit with all that footage. Impress us, impress your friends, make everyone laugh and get the crowd stoked. Maybe you will even win some cash.
THE PARAMETERS:
- Video submissions must be under 5 minutes long.
- There are no themes. Surprise us with something awesome!
- Films will be judged on: creativity, editing, quality, cinematography, and all-around stoke.
- Films may be subjected to a pre-elimination process at our discretion.
- All submissions are due no later than March 14th, 2025
- $3500 cash purse at stake. Top 3 films will receive 1st- $2000, 2nd- $1000 & 3rd- $500
Ski Gang Award
Ski Gang Award
Filmmakers and photographers are encouraged to recruit friends and family to attend the event and show their support. The ski gang who brings the most stoke will be awarded $500. Ski Gang members are encouraged to dress up in a way that any jerry could easily identify your affiliation. Aspen’s top ski gang will be determined by a crowd vote.
