At our Limelight Hotel in Ketchum, we have a separate community fund run by our staff that gives grants for the betterment of the community.
Caring For Community Fund
The Caring for Community fund helps Aspen Skiing Company employees take care of their co-workers and neighbors throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.
Why does the foundation exist?
The goal is to give people tools to succeed. The Caring for Community Fund focuses on:
- Healthcare, with specific emphasis on improving access to mental health and addiction counseling services
- Crisis support – food aid, emergency relocation services, legal assistance
- Educational and job training resources, with specific emphasis on programs serving children and young adults
How is it funded?
The Caring for Community Fund is funded by employees and supported by a 2 for 1 match from the Aspen Skiing Company Family Fund. An employee board runs the Caring for Community Fund. They learn strategic philanthropy on the fly, and better understand our community's needs and assets. Long after employees serve on the board, they continue to play active roles in the organizations and issues they learned about.
Employee Donations
Employees can become a member by signing up for the payroll deduction program. If you have questions, contact Hannah Berman. Thank you for your generosity!
